Role of a collective sanitation system
Collective sanitation works thanks to a network of pipes that connects several houses or buildings to the same treatment plant.
Wastewater collection is thus easier, so that it can be treated at a single point. The following collections are concerned:
- domestic water from houses, buildings, etc. They are then depolluted so that they can be discharged into nature
- rainwater that does not need any particular treatment. They are immediately discharged into the natural environment.

- Separate network : separate evacuation of wastewater and rainwater
